Ohio Lottery player in Summit County hits jackpot multiple times in same drawing

Odds are you have never won a single Ohio Lottery drawing.

But someone in Summit County has recently won not just one lottery jackpot but nine.

That’s right nine. And all in the same drawing.

The Ohio Lottery says a single winner won $225,000 recently playing the Pick 5 lotto drawing.

The winner, whose name was not released, purchased nine tickets and won $25,000 on each ticket.

After state and federal tax totaling some 28%, lottery officials say the winner will end up with about $162,000.

The winning tickets were purchased at the Speedway on East Highland Road in Macedonia.

Pick 5 has daily drawings at 12:29 p.m. and 7:29 p.m. seven days a week.

The odds of winning the $25,000 jackpot with a 50 cent wager and correctly picking the five numbers in order are one in 100,000,
