‘Malignant Clown!’ Hakeem Jeffries Absolutely Nukes James Comer in Heated Rant Over Biden Autopen

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) went off on Rep. James Comer (R-KY) on Tuesday, saying the head of the House Oversight Committee is a “malignant clown” whose priorities are completely out of whack.

Jeffries skewered his fellow congressman when he was asked during a Washington, D.C. press conference for his reaction to Attorney General Pam Bondi saying the Justice Department would review ex-President Joe Biden’s use of an autopen to sign legislation.

Bondi’s decision was made right after Comer, as the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, filed a report on Tuesday that urged the DOJ to “conduct a review of all executive actions” by Biden during his time in office, considering his “cognitive decline.”

Jeffries listened to the question, finished taking a sip from his water bottle, and then skipped past Bondi and right to bashing Comer over it.

“The so-called chairman of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, continues to behave like a malignant clown. You can’t point to a single thing that he’s actually done to make life better for the American people,” Jeffries said.

That appears to be one of his go-to insults too. Jeffries, earlier this month, also referred to Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) as a “malignant clown” who tried to “step to” Jeffries outside of his office. Republicans have turned around and hit Jeffries with their own barbs recently as well, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blasting Jeffries as a “stone-cold loser.” 

Rather than investigating Biden, Jeffries said on Tuesday, Comer would be better off investigating President Donald Trump. The president, Jeffries argued, lied to the American public when he said “costs would go down on Day 1” of his second term — among other false claims he said warrant a federal probe.

Jeffries then shifted to ripping Republicans, saying they were the party responsible for the ongoing shutdown.

“Now, because of the Republicans’ refusal to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, tens of millions of Americans are about to experience dramatic increases in their healthcare costs that will force medical bankruptcy on many of them,” Jeffries added.

The Oversight report led by Comer said that “faced with the cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, White House aides — at the direction of the inner circle — hid the truth about the former president’s condition and fitness for office.”

It also said that Biden’s decisions in office “do not carry the force of law and should be considered void” because of the “absence of sufficient contemporaneous documentation” backing them. That report was enough to spur a review for Bondi — and spur a big reaction from Jeffries.
