Meghan Markle has posted a gushing ‘date night’ video from a World Series game after Prince Harry used his recent podcast appearance to discuss his concerns about social media.

The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to post a story of the pair together at an LA Dodgers game.

In her story, a smiling Meghan and Harry wear blue LA baseball caps as they pose near the field with basketball legend Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie.

In another clip, the mother-of-two excitedly points at a row of Gold Glove awards before she coyly places her hand over her mouth while she nibbles on a hot dog.

Harry is then seen shaking his clenched fists as he looks into the camera and joyfully says ‘let’s go’.

It comes after the Duke of Sussex appeared on the Hasan Minhaj’s show, where he has railed against social media companies, claiming they ‘farm our children’s mindset and market it for themselves’.

‘I think we should snap out of it and just acknowledge the reality of the fact that there’s some really evil wicked people at the heart of this, who want to farm our children’s mindset and market it for themselves,’ he told Minhaj.

‘There is no free will on social media as it stands.’

He added: ‘Social media is taking young men and young boys into very dark places, which should concern all of us.’

Speaking on how they as a couple ‘had our fair share of beatings on social media’ , the duke revealed the couple’s move to California had given them a chance to focus on causes they truly cared about – including social media provisions.

Harry, who has two children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, said he and his wife discuss and think about social media safety issues often.

‘We talk about it a lot and I think, because of what we know, now we will be way more cautious and hesitant of allowing our kids to have access to social media, but the problem is that so many parents don’t have that awareness,’ he said.

‘Our goal has to be to make sure that when our children get to that age, that the situation now is not the situation then.

‘The more parents that know what is happening, the more parents can protect their kids.

The royal has long campaigned to raise awareness about the harms of social media and told the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast: ‘People look to governments to protect them and yet we have this lawlessness within this particular industry.

‘Where as far as they’re concerned accountability slows down innovation, the power and the decision making rests with the few rather than the many.

‘The incentives are all wrong, the incentives are to keep kids online for as long as possible, to farm and process your thinking, your thoughts and literally keep you there for as long as possible so they can make as much money as possible.’

Harry’s Archewell Foundation launched its Parents’ Network a few years ago to give support to families whose children have been impacted by social media.

He cautioned other parents to be worried and concerned about putting photos of their children on social media.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been very outspoken about the dangers not only children but also adults face from online platforms, having been fiercely protective of the privacy of their two children.

Appearing on the Hasan Minhaj's show, Prince Harry said the couple were looking for important causes that needed highlighting and thought the tech industry and social media have a lot of answering to do when it comes to suffering and pain around the world

Harry also used the discussion about social media to add his voice to the experts raising the ‘alarm bell’ about unregulated artificial intelligence which he claimed would ’cause more harm then good’.

The two men began their chat by joking about Harry’s ability to put on a US accent and the comic and actor coached the royal in how to say ‘I ordered breadsticks with ranch dressing at Applebee’s’ like he was born in US.

During a quick fire round of questions Harry was asked if he will become a US citizen and replies: ‘There are no plans to be at this point.’

It comes as fans also got a glimpse into the Sussexes’ lives when Meghan posted a story of the family enjoying a day out at a pumpkin patch before heading home to carve decorations.

Eagle-eyed royal fans would also be able to spot Archie and Lilibet’s faces in the sped-up clips, making it the first time in three years the children have been seen in her Halloween themed video.
