A trainee medic has been warned he faces a lengthy jail sentence after being found guilty of assaulting two female patients at an NHS hospital.
Trainee health worker Ieuan Crump, 27, sexually assaulted two women while carrying out bladder scans at Grange Hospital, Cwmbran.
One of his victims said Crump assaulted her with his finger while a female health worker was present, Cardiff Crown Court heard.
The female health worker had been attempting to insert a catheter into the woman’s bladder.
Crump later came back to the room alone, claiming he needed to check there was no swelling, before repeating the sexual assault, the court was told.
A second victim told jurors how the trainee medic touched her genitals, and asked if they were painful. During the incident, he had also opened her legs.
Defending, Marian Lewis, said he was a man of ‘impeccable character’.
He denied nine counts of sexual assault, including three allegations of sexual assault by penetration. He was found guilty of all counts.

Crump of Caerphilly has been bailed until he is sentenced on December 18.
Addressing the trainee medic, Judge Vanessa Frances said: ‘Inevitably, I am going to be giving you a prison sentence of some length.’
Crump has also been ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register on an interim basis until he is sentenced.
The trainee medic was previously in court for the same charges last year, however, the case collapsed after two weeks.
