John Legend and Chrissy Teigen joined the celebrities attending Arsenal vs Ipswich Town on Friday but were slammed by football fans after an ’embarrassing’ interview.
The singer, 45, and his wife, 39, appeared to forget which teams had played when they spoke to Prime Video Sport after the match.
But fans branded the couple ‘clueless’ as they got confused, with Chrissy even wearing a Chelsea shirt to the game.
Chrissy has since blasted the ‘n**s and t***s’ who claim she doesn’t know anything about football.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she fumed: ‘You know who the biggest ‘n**s and t***s’ are? The people who don’t like soccer as much as I do’
Then, sharing a throwback snap of herself in a football kit before a match, she added: ‘Does this look like the face of someone who doesn’t know soccer?’

Speaking with the streamer earlier in the evening, John said: ‘This was so fun. This is our first Premier League game ever, and we’re here for the holidays.
‘We’re having a great time. You know, my friends, I don’t know the league very well, and my friends were like, well, Arsenal is going to win by like, you know, six goals.
‘But it was a closer match than we expected, closer than we thought.’
When asked why she supports Chelsea, Chrissy replied: ‘Listen, I love an underdog, and I love coming in and being surprised by how much a team can do and and I think it was so much fun for us to root for them, because everyone was on Arsenal side.
‘Yeah, I wanted to really give them the support that they needed. When you said Chelsea, I was like, is Chelsea Ipswich? I don’t know.’
John continued: ‘We go to some of the LA games, the soccer games, every once in a while. And this is, you know, this is where the real football has been played.
Chrissy said: ‘We feel spoiled to get to be here, especially as people that don’t understand the game and the nuances as much as anybody else. So the fact that we get to be on the field…
‘We love the songs. I was always I was listening. I was trying to figure out what everyone was singing the whole game. But I love how synced up everyone is,’ John added.

Sharing their thoughts on X, football fans wrote: ‘John legend at the game today? Arsenal gotta have the most celebrity fans’;
‘John Legend on the Emirates pitch after the game’; ‘Randomly seeing John Legend and his wife and kids in the car park at the Emirates tonight’; ‘Why tf is John Legend at an Arsenal game lmao’;
‘Wow, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s interview at the end of the Arsenal Ipswich game hahahaha. Somebody come collect their rich American family, they are trying to pretend they understand UK football’; ‘This John Legend family post match interview on Amazon is chaos’;
Others added: ‘Well then Prime Video Sport when you have the choice between interviewing John Legend or Ed Sheeran, next time pick the one that knew which teams were playing! What a car crash!’;
‘That John Legend interview was an absolute mess… here I am lifelong die-hard supporter who didn’t get successful with the ballot for the game.. Yet you have him in there with the wife wearing a Chelsea shirt to an Arsenal v Ipswich match with no clue what’s going on.’
Arsenal beat Ipswich Town 1-0 courtesy of a first-half strike from Kai Havertz at the Emirates on Friday.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: ‘We had some big openings in the second half when we were being more aggressive. We should have scored more.’
