Amazon slammed for selling Charlie Kirk's blood-stained ‘Freedom’ hoodies, ‘Shameful…’


The fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Friday has turned the 31-year-old into an icon. The graphic video of his death, which shows the moment a bullet hits him, and he collapses as blood spills out, was widely shared on social media and viewed by millions. As of this writing, Amazon had Charlie Kirk’s ‘Freedom’ hoodie with a blood-stain print on the chest. They were being sold by a brand named Sjosio and are priced at $22.

Undoubtedly, the hoodie has sparked a lot of reactions, especially among the fans of Charlie Kirk, who thought the gesture was insensitive. Earlier, similar Charlie Kirk-themed t-shirts were being sold. Priced at $22.99, they were being sold by a brand named TeleTeeShirt. The t-shirt had Charlie Kirk’s famous dialogue- ‘Debate Me’ and ‘Protect Ya Neck’ – a reference to a track by the hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan.

The hoodie also sparked a host of reactions, with users slamming Amazon for being insensitive. Here are some of the reactions.

“Hey Amazon, you have 1 hour to take this down. Signed: People ready to hurt you financially,” one user wrote, threatening the Jeff Bezos-owned platform.

“So Amazon thinks it’s “funny” to sell a bloodstained hoodie with the exact same word Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was killed? This isn’t just disgusting—it’s corporate necrophilia. They’re not selling clothes, they’re selling mockery of a man’s death. Tell me again how this isn’t coordinated demoralization.
