The area around Tyler Robinson’s family home was evacuated only hours after the suspect who fatally shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk was identified. According to Fox News, police received ‘concerning information’ from the residence. While investigators did not reveal what exactly raised concern, videos from the scene showed dozens of police cars and officers. A helicopter could be seen flying over the neighborhood.
“Police have swarmed the family home of accused assassin Tyler Robinson, ordering media to clear out as helicopters circle overhead,” one reporter noted on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. They also attached a video from the scene.

“Police just asked media to move back from suspect Tyler Robinson’s house due to ‘concerning information’,” investigative journalist Erica Stapleton reported.
This comes hours after authorities announced that Tyler Robinson was arrested. The 22-year-old Utah local fatally shot Trump ally and conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a college event on Wednesday. He faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and discharging a firearm causing serious injury, according to a probable cause affidavit. Governor Spencer Cox noted that Robinson ‘acted alone’.
Meanwhile, officials said that Robinson discussed his ‘hate’ for Kirk with his family members. The New York Post and Fox News cited sources to report that the suspect’s father turned him in. Authorities also interviewed a friend who shared Discord messages in which Robinson discussed acquiring a firearm.

When he was arrested, Robinson was wearing clothes that matched surveillance images released earlier in the week. Ammunition recovered at the scene carried engravings linked to internet meme culture and references to fascism, Cox added.
Robinson is registered to vote in Utah but has no party affiliation and was listed as inactive after missing the last two general elections. State and federal records show no prior criminal history.
Raised in a suburb of St. George, about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from the Utah Valley University campus where Kirk was killed, Robinson grew up in a tight-knit household. His parents, married for roughly 25 years, own a granite countertop business and are registered Republicans. He has two younger brothers.
