A black TV star turned internet streamer has caused controversy online after donning whiteface while on a livestream.

Deshae Frost shared clips of himself to his Instagram on Thursday night after painting his hands and face white while wearing a red wig.

The actor, who played Daryl Henderson in CBS show S.W.A.T. for 24 episodes, now has over 960,000 followers on the livestream platform.

He posed in his new look alongside a group of friends in one video he shared to Instagram.

The Seattle native was then seen being seemingly denied entry into an Uber taxi after the driver spotted him in the bizarre get up.

Frost was seen approaching the black SUV when it dramatically took off, leaving him standing in a gas station forecourt.

After the clips of him emerged on social media on Friday, users have been left scratching their heads as to what he was doing.

One person commented: ‘He try’s to get more cancelled everyday. He overly cancelled.’

Another added: ‘Desahe be doing the most random things’, one unimpressed commenter said: ‘What are we doing out here smh.’

One other user posted: ‘At some point its gotta be enough like dam.’

Frost using whiteface comes after comedian Druski pulled a similar stunt in September, donning white face and dressing himself up to look like a white southerner.

The 30-year-old comic, real name Andrew Desbordes, himself filmed walking around NASCAR’s Southern 500 race in South Carolina.

He mingled jovially with cheerful white attendees and putting on a caricatured southern accent.

Nobody he spoke to appeared to have any idea that he had assumed a false identity as he cheered the drivers and drank with partygoers.

In one of the sketch’s more polarizing touches, Druski spat disdainfully on the ground whenever a black racegoer walked past him.

After the images of Frost emerged, some users questioned what he was doing - while others responded with hilarity

He stopped his car for one black man to ask if he was ‘lost,’ then responded with incredulity when the man told him he really was going to the NASCAR event.

In character, Druski advised him: ‘Find something safe to do, boy.’

Fans flooded into the comments to praise the sketch, particularly the ‘incredible work’ of the makeup team behind Druski’s physical transformation.

‘This is Tropic Thunder levels of race swap. How did he make it look so good,’ marveled one viewer as another wrote: ‘Ngl your makeup artist needs a raise.’
