Police have released CCTV images of a van driving on a pavement along a street where a ‘beautiful’ 19-year-old woman died after being run over.
Lily Whitehouse was struck by a vehicle along Old Park Lane in Oldbury, West Midlands last Wednesday evening.
The teenager was found with serious injuries on nearby Park Street by emergency services and despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mohammed Azim, 41, was later arrested and charged with murder. He appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday.
Azim, who police believe was known to Lily, was remanded into custody and will next appear at court on December 16.
West Midlands Police has now released CCTV images showing a white van driving along the road where Lily was hit and urged any witnesses to get in touch.
Meanwhile, Lily’s devastated family have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds towards her funeral and give the teenager the ‘farewell she deserves’.
Her aunt Cleo Eden wrote: ‘On Wednesday, November 5, our beautiful Lily Whitehouse was tragically taken from us at just 19 years old.
