Celebrity Traitors star Tom Daley has revealed the surprising ban the show bosses imposed on him while filming for the hit BBC series.
The former Olympian was murdered earlier in the series after the Traitors became worried he’d be quick to sniff them out over his tendency to ‘suspect everyone’.
Tom, 31, only made it to the second episode of the show, as he was killed off by the Traitors, talk show host Jonathan Ross, comedian Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns.
Despite not having a large amount of time on screen, he still had to follow a strict rule set out by the masterminds behind the show.
The diver, who fans will know is a knitting enthusiast and the author of crochet book, Made With Love, revealed he was banned from wearing his handmade clothing on the series.
He added to the Radio Times that despite this, he was still allowed to keep up with his pastime while filming for the gameshow when he was waiting to film.

Despite not having a large amount of time on screen, he still had to follow a strict rule set out by the masterminds behind the show: not wearing any of his own knitwear
‘Any time I was in the hotel, I was just knitting, knitting, knitting,’ Tom said.
‘You get your phone taken off you, you can’t talk to anyone, you’re just in your room, so I was very glad I had knitting because I think lots of people were bored.’
And while some of his celebrity co-stars were said to be keen to have a knitting lesson in the show’s ‘downtime’, Tom added the group ‘never got round to it’.
While he didn’t last long on Celebrity Traitors, Tom will be back on screen next month to host new Channel 4 series Game of Wool, which hopes to uncover Britain’s best amateur knitter.
The popular BBC show has a number of strict rules that contestants have to follow, including what the famous faces can and can’t discuss in front of the cameras.
Jonathan Ross confessed that the show’s executives have issued the stars with a long list of topics that they are not allowed to discuss.
The TV presenter made the mistake when he revealed that loads of scenes were cut from the final edit and went into detail about some of the more entertaining moments.
Speaking on the Reel Talk podcast on Sunday, Jonathan confessed: ‘It’s nerve-wracking watching it for me.

‘The roundtables, of course, because a lot of stuff is edited out and I’m not allowed. I didn’t realise, but I’m not allowed to talk about the stuff that’s edited out, which I can understand why.
‘When I started talking about it last week, they sent us all a kind of list saying: “Just to remind you, these are the things in your contracts you’re not allowed to talk about.”
Given that behind-the-scenes secrets are off limits, Tom’s comments about wardrobe rules will no doubt be poorly received.
It comes after Tom revealed how BBC bosses broke their own rules on the set of the BAFTA winning TV series, after stars were left ‘disconnected’ by a ‘really intense’ lockdown.
Opening up about finding the show difficult to film during an appearance on This Morning, Tom explained: ‘You think you’re going to go for breakfast and it’s like, no! You’re doing interviews all the time and being pulled around.
‘It’s really intense. You’re disconnected from everything. No phone.’
He added of the BBC bending the rules for the celebrity stars: ‘They made some exceptions for people with kids but usually, no.’
Elsewhere, Tom discussed his new show The Game Of Wool: Britain’s Best Knitter, as he prepares to put ten contestants through their paces to find the best.

He will be joined by Di Giplin and Sheila Greenwell who will help judge the creations.
He explained: ‘Knitting has got this thing now with mindfulness and being in the moment. It lets people unwind. You can take it anywhere and make anything.’
Tom added: ‘Two judges, Di Gilpin and Sheila Greenwell – both of them have such technical ability to see exactly what the knitters are doing. I learned so much from them.’
‘We have solo knits and group knits, they’re asked to work together which was a challenge for lots of people. They might have a pattern they have to adapt.
‘I wore some of the things from the first episode. There’s all kind of things that go on – twelve hours to make something isn’t long.’
Celebrity Traitors continues Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One. The Game of Wool: Britain’s Best Knitter starts November 2 at 8pm on Channel 4.
