The US House of Representatives passed a resolution on Friday to honour conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed while addressing a college audience in Utah last week, news agency Reuters reported.
The chamber, with a Republican majority, voted 310-58 to approve the measure to commemorate Kirk’s life and legacy while also denouncing political violence, including his assassination.
95 Democrats joined 215 Republicans to vote for the resolution, while 58 voted against it and 38 voted “present.”
