Did Tyler Robinson have an accomplice? ‘Man on phone’ video after Charlie Kirk shooting sparks questions

Authorities are yet to discern the motive behind the crime, but there are reports that they they are looking into whether Robinson had an accomplice. The Sun reported that FBI agents are looking at footage which allegedly shows Robinson on a doorbell camera, speaking about the shooting, moments after it went down.

The publication added that questions are now being raised whether Robinson had someone to help him or someone who knew but chose to remain silent about the crime. As per The Sun, detectives, on Thursday, interviewed the family who who lived in the neighborhood next to the university campus. They are the ones who had handed over the footage.

The publication shared that the footage showed a man walk past the house, speaking on the phone about the shooting, moments after it went down. HT.com could not independently check the contents of the footage.

Now, a probe is underway to check if the man is Robinson, The Sun added. In an earlier announcement, officials had said that they believed Robinson to have acted alone, but were not leaving out any avenues at the time.

Robinson had reportedly become more political in recent times, and had also criticized Kirk. Authorities shared that they recovered bullet shells with anti-fascist markings. Meanwhile, Robinson’s grandmother told Daily Mail that their entire family is Republican.

The FBI, in the press conference, announcing Robinson’s arrest, said “We got him.” Director Kash Patel added at the time, “To my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now brother. We have the watch and I’ll see you in Valhalla.”
