Five people were killed after a car was crushed between two large container trucks that caught fire at Pune’s Navale Bridge area, where at least two of the vehicles caught fire, according to PTI, citing police.
Pune police and emergency services responded, dispatching multiple ambulances and fire tenders to the scene.
“Within the jurisdiction of Sinhagad Police Station, an accident occurred on the Selfie Point on the highway involving around eight vehicles. About 15 people were injured, and all of them have been taken to the hospital by ambulance,” said an officer from Pune City Police, as reported by the Indian Express.
