Jaipur woman and lover kill husband, set the body on fire; echoes merchant navy officer’s murder case

In a similar incident where Meerut-based merchant navy officer was killed by his wife and lover, the horror comes from Jaipur where a woman Gopali Devi, along with Deendayal, conspired to kill husband Dhannalal, a vegetable seller on March 15, who were also planning to flee the city but failed to do and got arrested, say media reports.

How did Gopali kill Dhannalal?

After Dhannalal couldn’t find his wife, he went to Deendayal’s shop, Shyam Fashion, situated in Sanganer’s Kashido Wali Gali. There he found his working with Deendayal. Later, an argument followed between the couple.

Deendayal and Gopali made Dhannalal come to another shop and started brutally attacking him, where the duo smashed the head with an iron rod. To hid the identity and destroy the proof, they put body in a bag, took it on a bike and set it on fire.

Numerous videos have gone viral on the internet, where Gopali and Deendayal could be seen taking Dhannal on a bike.

What does police have to say on it?

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP South) Digant Anand stated that both Gopali and her lover Deendayal were arrested. “After the deceased objected to the affair, his wife and co-accused Deendayal hit the deceased on his head with an iron rod in rage, which resulted in the deceased losing consciousness and possibly dying on the spot,” Anand was quoted by ANI as saying.

The police got informed on March 16 when the half-burnt body was lying near a main road. They said Dhannalal questioned Gopali about her extra-marital affair. The police mentioned remains of the body were placed in a sack and thrown on the road, adding a team has been formed to probe the case.

Similar incident in UP’s meerut

Muskan Rastogi, a woman from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing her husband Saurabh Rajput with her lover Sahil Shukla before heading to a vacation to Shimla. They chopped the young merchant navy officer’s body into 15 pieces and concealed it in a drum covered with cement, media reports had quoted investigators as saying.
