Kate gets back to nature as she bakes bread on a campfire and plays with children in blissful video tribute to autumn

The Princess of Wales has released her third film highlighting the beauty of ‘Mother Nature’ as she bakes bread and plays with children in a touching tribute to Autumn.

Unlike her previous clip, Princess Kate is featured in the short video that has been released on the Wales’ official Instagram.

In an ode to nature as well as the slightly chiller months, the Duchess of Cambridge described the season as one of ‘reflection, growth and deeper connection’.

In the heartwarming video, the royal can be seen walking through the forestry admiring the changing leaves in the months of ‘refinement’.

Voiced by Kate in October, the Princess can be scene trying her hand a outdoor cooking alongside chef Gill Meller and children from Farley Junior Academy in Luton.

As she notes the trees ‘shed[ding] their canopies in preparation for winter’, the group can be seen sharing food and stories around a bonfire in Windsor Great Park.

The children are supported by the charity Go Beyond, which offers access to nature and residential trips for youngsters across the UK living in difficult circumstances.

Reflecting on the previous months of ‘refinement’, she said: ‘We too learn to let go of what is no longer needed.

Filming for the video also took place in Northern Ireland, which the princess visited with the Prince of Wales in October, including at Long Meadow Cider in Co Armagh and Mallon Farm in Co Tyrone

Alongside tranquil music and the chirping of birds, the Princess of Wales notes how ‘clarity’ can be found in the later months of the year.

As she touches on the opportunity to have a ‘greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds’ imagery of scenic rolling mountains and countryside are shown.

‘Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds. We can find clarity and purpose in what matter most. Encouraging us to simply pay attention and listen,’ she said.

‘With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, in permanence and in letting go.

‘These are the natural cycles of life, while the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper, stronger.

‘Let love be the root that holds us, that guides us with hope, through change, endure.’

The series launched in Spring to huge public interest as a celebration of the changing seasons across the UK, and a ‘reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience’.

In May, the Princess of Wales turned her hand to film again, and personally launched a video revealing how she embraced ‘the healing power of nature’ during her cancer treatment.

The series, released on Kensington Palace’s social media channels, began with ‘Spring’, a three-minute film narrated by Catherine, including footage of her and Prince William on the Isle of Mull.

The other short film will be released towards the end of the year, with Winter editions arriving in due course.

Referring to how she sought comfort and strength from being outdoors with her family during her cancer battle last year, she said: ‘Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary.

‘The natural world’s capacity to inspire us, to nurture us and help us heal and grow is boundless and has been understood for generations.

‘It is through nature, that we can fully understand the true interconnectedness of all things, the importance of balance and the importance of renewal and resilience. Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us, and each other.’

She added: ‘Spring is a season of rebirth, of hope and new beginnings. From the dark days of winter, the outside world quietly awakens with new life, and there comes a sense of optimism, anticipation, and positive, hopeful change.

‘Just as nature revives and renews so too can we. Let us reconnect to nature and celebrate a new dawn within our hearts.

‘It is often from the smallest of seeds that the greatest change can happen, and in this ever-growing complex world, we need to hold on to what connects us all. Spring is here, so let’s make the most of it together.’

The princess also makes clear how much she hopes that her message will provide an antidote to the ‘increasingly complex and digital world’.

Signing off the post with ‘C’ – a sign that it personally comes from her – Catherine wrote: ‘This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we are celebrating humanity’s longstanding connection to nature, and its capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body and spirit.

‘As we confront the challenges of an increasingly complex and digital world, the importance of the connection between humanity and nature takes on even more significance.

‘The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other.’

‘Mother Nature’ is described as a ‘celebration of the raw, untamed beauty of the changing seasons across the UK’.
