Lizzo roasted for dressing as a mozzarella stick for Halloween… one year after she went as Ozempic

Lizzo has been branded as ‘lazy’ for dressing up as a mozzarella stick for Halloween 2025.

The Juice singer, 37, unveiled her costume efforts in a photoshoot shared on social media, which sparked somewhat of a lukewarm response.

For the look, Lizzo – real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson – wore a strapless cream-colored dress with gloves and matching boots.

The outfit featured a dripping effect to give the illusion that she was melting, and a puddle of gooey cheese laid at her feet.

Making sure fans could recognize that she had dressed as the breaded deep fried snack, Lizzo held two pieces in her hands while another huge stick was attached vertically to her back.

Underwhelmed social media users were less than impressed by the outfit and criticized Lizzo online.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one said: ‘This is not a Halloween costume. What ever happened to wrapping yourself in toilet paper and calling yourself a mummy?

‘This is literally so stupid as a costume,’ another wrote.

A third continued: ‘Celebrity Halloween must end.’

‘Celebrity Halloween is so lazy they just do these photoshoots and call it a day,’ commented another. ‘GO TO A PARTY.’

Others, however, weren’t as harsh.

‘Lizzo dressing like my 2am cravings is so real,’ one enthused.

‘My favorite appetizer, I must stan!’ added another.

Last year, Lizzo poked fun at the Ozempic rumors with her Halloween costume, inspired by a special episode of South Park, titled The End of Obesity.

After previously expressing pride over being name-checked on the long-running animated series, the singer dressed up as ‘LizzOzempic’ in a bedazzled replica of the weight loss drug with a tape measure around her waist.

In one image, the Truth Hurt hitmaker pretended to be in an advertisement for ‘LizzOzempic,’ which warned of fictional side effects like putting ‘a smile on your face and pep in your step.’

Next to her image was the message: ‘Need self love? Try Lizzo! Lose guilt, gain confidence.’

Later, she uploaded a video of herself twerking next to someone dressed in an inflatable costume of the South Park character, Eric Cartman.

This year’s Halloween celebrations are well underway.

Today show host Sheinelle Jones stole the show on Friday’s program as Beyonce for this year’s costume celebration.

The 47-year-old co-host had viewers crying tears of joy as she channeled the iconic hitmaker in a racy white bodysuit, complete with a cowboy hat and chaps.

She even treated audiences to an impressive Cowboy Carter-inspired dance routine, which she performed live at Rockefeller Center Plaza in New York City along with a crew of backup dancers. 

Elsewhere, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin put on a picture-perfect family and dressed up with all seven of their children in matching costumes as Care Bears.
