A manhunt has been launched after a woman was repeatedly punched and kicked in the face by a thug before being knocked out during a vicious street attack.

Horrifying footage, recorded on a Ring camera, captured the savage onslaught on Monday morning, in Harbreck Grove, Liverpool.

The distressing 77-second clip has since gone viral, being viewed more than two million times on social media.

In it, a man can be seen hurling an object at the woman’s face in the middle of a residential estate as she screams in pain.

‘You little slapper,’ the yob, wearing a blue jacket and black trousers, spits as he hits her across the face.

‘You little f***ing s***, get in the car now,’ he then yells as his terrified victim tries to back away into the middle of the road, before being brutally slapped across the face twice.

Begging him to ‘please stop’ the tearful woman tries to escape her attacker as he continues to rain blows, appearing to punch and slap her before grabbing her by the hair and throwing her to the floor.

‘Get off me,’ screams the woman as the thug drags her along the floor before kicking her twice in the head. The second strike appears to knock her out, leaving her sprawled on the road.

‘How’s that you cow,’ the thug with a Liverpudlian accent gloats as he walks off, leaving his victim lying lifeless on the floor.

After about 18 seconds later, moans from the woman are then heard over the din of someone using a hedge trimmer nearby before a passerby eventually helps her.

The appalling attack took place at about 11.15am on Monday.

The woman sustained a head injury and swelling to her face, police said.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment, a spokesman for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said.

A local mum told MailOnline: ‘My friend sent the footage to my phone. It’s horrific. I am not sure who the victim is because you cannot see her face clearly. But everyone is shocked by what happened. The police are involved now.’

A man who lives nearby added: ‘Yes the police were here the other day asking questions. We were at work when the attack happened so I could not really help them. The video is scary. I just can’t believe he did that.’

Merseyside Police are now hunting for the suspect, and said detectives are investigating the ‘domestic-related’ assault.

‘Enquiries to locate the suspect are ongoing,’ a spokesman for the force said.
