Paris Jackson has revealed that she once battled a heroin addiction in a new social media post, celebrating five years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol on Tuesday.
Jackson, 26, candidly admitted to an addiction with alcohol as well as the opioid drug while marking the achievement with an empowering Instagram post, that was liked by her friend Cara Delevingne.
The singer, 26, who is the only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, described all she has been able to achieve thanks to her sobriety in the moving video.
She included footage of her old partying ways before she went down a new path and obtained numerous sobriety coins.
‘hi, i’m pk and i’m an alcoholic and a heroin addict,’ she wrote.
‘today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. to say that i’m thankful would be a poor euphemism. gratitude hardly scratches the surface. it’s because i’m sober that i get to smile today.

The clean and sober Paris enjoyed various activities with her friends as she pursued her passion.
Paris can be seen singing on stage, going rock wall climbing, and hiking.
She also shares a kiss with her fiance Justin Long as they explore a cave together.
The final moments of the video show Paris looking calm and content as she hangs with loved ones and her dog.

It comes after Paris announced her engagement to Justin, her bandmate.
The model revealed she is set to marry the 5 Seconds of Summer music producer in an Instagram post last month, sharing a sweet snap of the proposal and a montage of their time together.
Paris posted the news while paying tribute to Justin – nicknamed Blue – on his birthday.
She wrote: ‘Happy birthday my sweet blue. doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and i couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. thank you for letting me be yours. i love you. [sic]’

It comes after Paris announced her engagement to her bandmate Justin Long
While she did not specify when or where Justin popped the question, she has been spotted wearing the ring back in September. The couple are believed to have started dating in 2022.
Prior to that she dated another bandmate, Gabriel Glenn, and when they split in 2021 after two years together, Paris described it as ‘the deepest heartbreak I ever experienced’.
Speaking about the split, she shared on Red Table Talk: ‘It was the deepest I ever loved someone, it was the most intense I’ve felt so far and the most intense betrayal I felt so far and experienced.’
‘It’s definitely closed me off to that, I’m very careful with who I spend time with now and very guarded and trying to protect myself.’ She did not further elaborate on the betrayal.
