Robbie Williams left Julia Roberts speechless when he made a wild confession during their appearance on Friday

Robbie Williams left Julia Roberts speechless when he made a wild confession during their appearance on Friday.

The singer, 51, and actress, 57, were joined on the sofa by Colin Farrell, Benedict Cumberbatch and Gloria Estefan.

Admitting that he once watched Pretty Woman six times in a row, Robbie recalled how the film, which Julia had starred in, ‘inspired him.’

Robbie said: ‘Julia Roberts. Oh my god, I can’t. I’ve watched Pretty Woman six times in a row.

‘And at the end of the six times, I was like “one day I will take a prostitute shopping”. And I did. I did. So, thank you.’

Julia was left speechless at Robbie’s story, as Graham cut in: ‘That’s a lovely story Robbie. That’s really lovely.’

Julia, who was 22 at the time  played sex worker Vivien Ward, and the then 40-year-old Richard Geré, starred as billionaire businessman Edward Lewis.

Vivian, who was hired by Edward, ended up falling in love after he initially hired her to accompany him to some social events.

The movie was penned by struggling screenwriter J F Lawton and cast an unknown Julia into its main role, before becoming the fifth highest grossing filming of all time at its release.

Elsewhere, Robbie confessed he pulled the plug on his album release after realising he’d be going up against Taylor Swift.

At a comeback gig at London’s Dingwalls, the Angels hitmaker told fans he postponed Britpop after finding out Taylor had locked in her release date and admitted there was no point trying to compete with the world’s biggest star.

‘We’re all pretending it’s not about Taylor Swift, but it f***ing is,’ Robbie told the crowd, according to The Sun. ‘You can’t compete with that one, that’s the truth.’

Robbie, who currently shares the record for 15 UK No.1 albums with The Beatles, confessed he had one thing on his mind: beating that record.

He continued: ‘I want 16 No.1 albums and you know Taylor then decided to put her album out the week before me and I just went for “for f***s sake”‘.

He explained: 'And at the end of the six times, I was like "one day I will take a prostitute shopping". And I did. I did. So, thank you'

Robbie went on to joke that the decision was ‘selfish,’ but insisted: ‘How many times in your life do you get to have the most No.1 albums the UK has ever had?’

Taylor has broken Adele’s streaming record as her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, has racked up 3.5 million copies sold in its first week.

The modern-era single-week sales record was previously held by Adele’s album, 25, with 3.378 million copies sold upon its release in 2015.

The Life Of A Showgirl sold 3.2 million, physical and digital purchase copies and 300,000 from equivalent album units in streaming, totalling 3.5 million.

Adele’s 25 secured 3.482 equivalent million units in 2015, with 3.378 million being traditional sales and the remaining from streaming.

A record number of 5 million fans pre-saved The Life Of A Showgirl on Spotify and a special vinyl edition, available online, sold out in under an hour.
