KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 25-year-old man was arrested for OWI after crashing into an SUV carrying a pregnant woman, her husband, and a 1-year-old while he was driving the wrong way on I-41 last night.
According to the Kaukauna Police Department, law enforcement in Outagamie County was notified of a wrong-way driver on Highway 441 who had gotten onto I-41 around midnight Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The driver, later identified as a 25-year-old man, was reportedly driving north in the southbound lanes.
While Kaukauna PD officers were on their way to I-41, the suspect had crashed into a southbound SUV just south of Highway 55 in Kaukauna.

I-41 south was immediately shut down, and during the investigation, officers found the wrong-way driver was reportedly under the influence of alcohol. He was first taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries before being booked into the Outagamie County Jail for operating while intoxicated, causing injury.
Officers say the driver of the other vehicle, a pregnant 27-year-old female, her husband, and their 1-year-old child were also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
