Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck and killed while attending a campus event in Utah.

A video of a Texas State student re-enacting Charlie Kirk’s assassination has sparked outrage, with Texas Governor Greg Abbott calling for his expulsion. The student was also seen using profanity towards a local chapter of Turning Point USA, an organisation co-founded by Charlie Kirk.

“This was at Texas State @txst a Charlie Kirk memorial event hosted by local TPUSA chapter. Student imitates Charlie Kirk’s death and mocks him, goes up to statue where TPUSA members are and imitates his death again, and spits near them. Also uses a vape/weed pen near end of video which is against campus policy,” an X user wrote while sharing a video of the incident.

In the footage, a student is seen patting his neck while screaming, “Charlie Kirk got hit in the neck, b**ch!” The onlookers around him are seen laughing.

What happened to Charlie Kirk?

Kirk was answering a question from an audience member on September 10 at Utah Valley University when he was shot in the neck. The conservative influencer appeared to recoil in pain while grabbing his neck. He was instantly taken to a nearby hospital but later pronounced dead. Dramatic footage from the scene capturing the incident has now gone viral on social media.

What did Greg Abbott post?

Reacting to the incident, the governor tweeted, “Hey Texas State. This conduct is not accepted at our schools. Expel this student immediately. Mocking assassination must have consequences.”

Is the student expelled?

Texas State University President Kelly Damphouse addressed the incident on X, stating that the student had been identified and “is no longer a student at TXST.”

“Late this afternoon, we confirmed that the individual in the reprehensible video was a TXST student. While federal law prevents @txst from commenting on individual student conduct matters, I can say that the person is no longer a student at Texas State,” tweeted Damphouse.

This incident came in the wake of a Texas Tech student being arrested and expelled after ‘mocking’ Charlie Kirk’s assassination. In a video, 18-year-old Camryn Giselle Booker was seen yelling at fellow students paying tributes to Kirk.
