A woman has died and two others, including a 9-year-old child, have been injured after a horror crash involving a London bus, car and pedestrians in north-west London.
Police, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance were called to the collision on Bessborough Road, Harrow, just after 9.15pm on Monday.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, the Metropolitan Police said.
A woman, aged in her 40s, died and emergency services treated four other people at the scene.
A pedestrian and a child, nine, were taken to a major trauma centre at an hospital for treatment. Their condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
One person was discharged at the scene after being attended to.
The deadly crash led to travel disruption across the local area with roads blocked in multiple directions.
Road closures at the scene were lifted shortly after 5am this morning.

Bus routes 395, H9, H10, and SL9 were impacted and placed on diversion routes following the incident.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called at 9:17pm on 24 February to reports of a road traffic collision near Whitmore Road.
‘We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) as well as command support vehicles. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.’
‘We treated four patients at the scene before taking two patients to a major trauma centre and discharging one patient at the scene.
‘Very sadly, despite best efforts of our crews, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.’
Horror snaps of the crash showed a 395 bus with a smashed windscreen, and a car seemingly coming to rest on the footpath nearby.
Pieces of clothing and bags could also be seen strewn all over the footpath and road.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or captured any footage to come forward with information.
