Bank holidays next week, May 26-June 1: Banks will be closed for two days this week in some parts of India, due to the birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam and Maharana Pratap Jayanti, according to the bank holiday calendar by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). On Thursday, May 29, 2025 banks in Shimla will be closed for Maharana Pratap Jayanti to mark the birth anniversary of the Rajput king Maharana Pratap.

Banks across the country will remain open on Saturday, May 31, 2025since it is the fifth Saturday of the month. As per RBI calendar, banks are typically closed on second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Notably, banks are closed on all Sundays of the month.
