Champions Trophy 2025: UAE confirmed for India vs Pakistan matches, likely date revealed

The confusing regarding India’s venues for upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 finally seems to be coming to an end with Pakistan Cricket Board now proposing UAE as a neutral venue. The quest for a neutral venue had begun after both PCB and BCCI agreed to hosting the Champions Trophy in ‘hybrid’ model earlier this year.

ICC had also ratified the arranged for a period of three years, meaning that Pakistan will also play their league stage matches at a neutral venue during the upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup.

PCB spokesperson Amir Mir in a statement about Champions Trophy said, “UAE was finalised as the venue after PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the Emirates Cricket Board chairman Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan,” PCB spokesman Amir Mir said in a statement on Sunday.

While the official venue for India’s matches has not been announced yet, reports indicate that Dubai is all but finalized to host the key clashes.

When is India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy match?

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy league stage match will be played on February 23. India are said to be joined by Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand in their group. India’s league-stage matches with Bangladesh and New Zealand are said to be held on February 20 and March 2, respectively.

The almost month-long tournament is expected to begin from February 19, and ICC is likely to announce the final schedule for the marquee event in the coming days.
